I wonder how many of us really make an effort to contribute to the free software we use. I just have no right complaining or making comparisons. The UI / front end is more attractive and the preview search is very helpful. I like RT more, but have difficulty using it. I've reverted to RT124 as it has the curves tools. Mm mike You know, that you can also use Photivo for your JPEGs? The smaller 1:1 preview is planned, but there is always a lot to do. For raw, I'm now waiting for Photivo to include a 100% loupe which at the moment is sorely missing - I need it for CA correction and sharpening and denoising settings. I mostly shoot JPEG so I just process in GIMP. As opposed to UFRaw, it is a "full workflow" application, at least for what I do. I've found no bugs with it, but it is a bit slow and as a result I still use UFRaw if I just need to do a bit of basic processing. It has a lot more features than UFRaw does. I installed Rawtherapee for the first time when I installed Kubuntu 10.10. One day it will get fixed and I'll be pleased to use rawtherapee but until then it's still ufraw gui or ufraw/dcraw and gmic on the command line for me. So this evening I got the latest source and built it and the bug is still there. The bug report replies suggested it might be fixed in the latest upstream source. But I didn't use it for a while, quite a few months, because it also has a longstanding bug with window sizes in gtk (I'm using GNU/Linux) which makes it too slow and clumsy to use /p/rawtherapee/issues/detail?id=59 I think rawtherapee has some nice advantages over ufraw in terms of features. Stan schurman edited this topic ages ago. Originally posted at 3:06PM, 17 January 2011 PDT where it appears under the Exposure > Contrast slider. For some reason though, I can't find the curves options under Exposure on RT 3.0 A1, as opposed to version 2.4. It's also convenient to be able to file the finished photo without going into Gimp first. Also the side by side comparison feature is nice to have. But, since it is there, I do find it easier to use than Ufraw with the various sliders being handy.

In fact, it doesn't even appear as one of the programs in my "all programs" list (strange indeed).

Does anyone use Raw Therapee rather than Ufraw to process your raw files? If so, which version? I never downloaded RT 3.0 A1 (that I can remember), but it pops up as one of the options when I open a raw file in Windows Picture Viewer.
